(Rockland, Maine, May 10, 2022) - Bixby Chocolate (www.bixbychocolate.com), a certified woman owned bear to bar chocolate business, has been recognized for winning three sofi awards, Gold for their Organic CRÈME BRÛLÉE BAR, New Product for CRÈME BRÛLÉE BAR , and Confectionary Non-Chocolate for their ALLAGASH WHITE BEER BRITTLE. For more than 49 years the Specialty Food Association has presented sofi Awards to recognize innovation and remarkable taste and to highlight the flavors and the creativity found across the culinary industry. Products are reviewed annually at the Specialty Food Association headquarters in New York City by a national panel of culinary experts. Every year, sofi products are celebrated and showcased at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York.
The Allagash beer brittle is made with the famous Belgian-style Allagash White beer, peanuts, and a hint of Maine Sea Salt. Light and mellow with pleasing tones of malt, hops and Chocolate. The vanilla Creme Brulee microbatch bar was named a 2022 Good Food Award Finalist earlier this year and is made with organic cocoa butter, organic cane sugar, organic milk powder, and vanilla bean.
"We are proud to be the first bean to bar brand in Maine to win three sofi awards. Our creme brulee bar seems to be quite popular as it won another national award earlier this year and our Allagash White Beer Brittle is a brand new product and it’s our first time diving into brittle. Allagash is a great partner in making this new product happen. We are ecstatic for being a sofi award winner and know our community will be just as excited, " said Kate McAleer, owner and founder of Bixby Chocolate.
A celebration of SFA Award Winners will take place on Sunday June 12th at the Summer Fancy Food Show at the Javits Center in New York, NY.
