Yolélé Expands Chips Distribution

West African Food Brand Joins Faire’s Wholesale Platform

Brooklyn, New York (December 13, 2021) – Yolélé, the revolutionary African food company and purveyor of West African foods featuring the ancient grain fonio, announced today that their three flavors of Fonio Chips and recently launched tea towels are now available on Faire (Faire Wholesale Inc.), the digital wholesale marketplace.

  • Fonio is a gluten-free and climate-smart ancient grain. In 2021, Yolélé launched light and crispy Fonio Chips, inspired by the flavors and ingredients of West Africa.
  • Faire is a wholesale marketplace and community connecting independent retailers and brands around the world.

“Joining Faire allows us to connect with independent small business owners around the country and world,” says Yolélé VP of Sales and Marketing, Claire Alsup. “Faire removes barriers to discovery and purchase between innovative brands and retailers. Launching with large distributors can be cost-prohibitive, but only selling direct means sacrificing visibility. We’re grateful to Faire for bridging the gap between and helping brands like us grow strategically.”

According to Faire, the platform offers $200 off initial orders and free shipping for a year to retailers that brands invite to the platform.  If a retailer isn’t new to Faire, but the brand has a pre-existing relationship with them, Faire takes 0% commission from brands on those orders.
