PLANT:

The production plant in Greece, EPIRUS S.A., founded in 1994 is one of the largest cheese-producing companies in Greece with a state-of-the-art production and packaging unit, producing a full range of Greek PDO cheeses like Feta and many others and is located in the region of Epirus, in Ammotopos, Arta North-West of Greece.

More than 25,000 tons of Sheep & Goat milk are processed at the EPIRUS plant annually. The company’s production capacity and methods, its consistent investment in technology, research & development, plus an innovative spirit combined with in depth knowledge and experience of tradition, guarantees the excellent quality and taste of EPIROS products.

PLANT CERTIFICATIONS:

EPIRUS S.A. is certified:

  1. with the International Quality Assurance System certification ISO 9001:2008, as well as the International Food Safety Assurance Standard & HACCP and ISO 22000:2005
  2. Moreover, EPIRUS S.A. is certified with the Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2004
  3. Also, with the new edition of the certification for food Quality and Safety control, International Food Standard – IFS Food – Version 6

AWARDS:

EPIROS CHEESES have also received 28 awards in international competitions.

All products are suitable for vegetarians (by using vegetable rennet), are gluten free and with low lactose.
