Celebrate National Margarita Day with The Perfect Purée of Napa Valley

NAPA VALLEY, CA | Feb. 22, 2020 — Expand your horizons on National Margarita Day (Feb. 22) with creative takes on this South-of-the-Border classic from The Perfect Purée of Napa Valley and its partners.

Developed for The Perfect Purée of Napa Valley by expert barman and Tequila Cazadores Brand Ambassador Manny Hinojosa, La Rojita features the new Red Jalapeño Purée, a bold and superbly savory combination of mature jalapeños, puréed with rice vinegar. As jalapeños ripen on the vine and change color from green to red, they develop more capsaicin, the compound that imparts a deep, warm tingle to the back of the throat. La Rojita’s spiciness is balanced by orange curaçao, lime juice, simple syrup and a generous measure of Cazadores Blanco. Pair with nachos or tacos and say, “Ole!”

Atlanta’s favorite taco spot, PURE Taqueria, serves a Prickly Pear Margarita that’s second only to its signature classic. PURE mixes silver tequila, Triple Sec, fresh lime juice and agave nectar with The Perfect Purée Prickly Pear, which has a melon-like sweetness that complements the bold flavor of tequila.

Some of Brooklyn’s best tequila drinks originate from Leyenda, a Pan-Latin cocktail bar that was Number 97 on the World’s 100 Best Bars List in 2018. Head Bartender Shannon Ponche created the Rizzo (a la the tough girl in Grease) with Ilegal Mezcal Joven, lime juice, agave syrup and sangrita (The Perfect Purée Mango, yellow bell pepper juice, lime juice, salt and ground chili peppers).

Celebrated baker Rose Levy Berenbaum confesses to keeping a large pitcher of margaritas in her fridge in the summer. Beranbaum’s Best Bloody Margarita eschews fussy ingredients for a can of good ole’ fashioned Minute Maid Limeade, which doubles as a measuring cup for the clear tequila, Triple Sec, Perfect Purée Blood Orange Concentrate and water that make up the rest of the drink.
